Upper Canada Village is excited to welcome back its annual Horse Lovers’ Weekend. The event celebrates our special relationship with the noble Canadian Horse, first introduced to Canada in the 1600s (New France at the time). This well-attended three-day festival showcases riding, driving, and working horses with the help of our Village Interpreters and a variety of community partners.

• Shire Horses with Brian McIntosh (Loucks Farm)
• Ojibwe Spirit Horses by Mādahòkì Farm (Loucks Farm)
• Historic Vehicles (Cook’s Livery)
• Horse-Drawn Farm Equipment (Loucks Farm)
• Saddle Exhibit by Chercheux de selles (Doctor’s Barn)
• Plowing by Bob Jones (Schoolhouse) – SATURDAY & SUNDAY ONLY
• Brass Band (Village entrance) – 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
• Wagon Rides by Ken Reid (Crysler Hall) – 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
